Ahh, what a beautiful day on Earth - at least the morning. Blue sky, fresh air, and cool temperature available at Jakarta only at 5.00 - 7.00 AM GMT + 7. That's what they say. I should bring a sample for my planet - they'll be interested.
Anyway, I plowed through my old, stuffed humans' things specimen and found an old, rusty bicycle I found 4 years ago with Rp 700.000,- (50% discount!). And I never used it since 2 years ago, and for my Mahnoh muscle's health, I decided to use it.
I hope I can go back to my planet... But it's on the center of the Milky Way; its night sky are INCREDIBLE. A must - to see after I finish Observation Akullaspatiale here - years later.
We Mahnus have a very long life span. But my human pursuit won't. It'll rot as soon as I took it off my skin.
When I rode that bicycle out, a lot of my human neighbors told me these:
> Kevin, where have you been?
> It's been a long time since the last time I saw your face.... 2 years ago?
> Kevin, you such an alien!
Luckily they didn't realise I AM an alien. But I think I should've socialised with those humans... or else they will start investigating me.
Just want to tell you, don't isolate yourself in your room, except you're producing heroine.
But when I came back into my "family" - a human family I chose as a pursuit (I act as their son) - , they were having a quarrel about our holiday.
> is Mom
< is Dad
> Karin, bring your Kumon worksheets with you.
< [cutting plastic bags] Why should she?
> Because she can't even remember 14-8 equals to what.
< She didn't even like it!
> But she needed it, it's a MUST.
< Are we going to have a holiday or what? Is she going to be a professor?
> Both. And mathematics is a MUST.
< Fine, we won't do any. [Throwing the scissors back into the shelf with an amazing accuracy]
At the end, though, we went out to a small village, Cisarua, for a holiday.
I'm confused. The truth is, yes, math is important. But not very important to those who want to be an artist (yeah that's my 'sister' into, yet she's only 8 Earth year old). Why humans are so obsessive sometimes? I should add it to my hundreds - of - pages report of Observation... no, I shouldn't tell you about it.
//I've told them.//
> Oh.
Anyway, I suddenly recalled a human song, Vnv Nation or something. Its name's "Further", 1st verse:
At the end of days, at the end of time When the Sun burns out, will any of this matter?
Who will be there to remember who we were? Who will be there to know that any of this had meaning for us? And in retrospect I'll say we've done no wrong. Who are we to judge what's right and what has purpose for us?
NOT every human realise that all the stuff (including Kumon)are temporary, but they do. I hope you do, and don't push your children too far.
> Umm, Gary?
//Yeah?//
> Would you like to give the drawing software now?
//Not finished yet. It'll take several days to transfer with a 28K modem.//
> Oh, ok. See you later.
P.S: I heard from the Moonies that the Moon is going farther from the earth. They're planning to build a gravitational machine that'll pull it back, but I'm not very sure they'll ever finish it. Not the most consistent lifeform ever.
